Field Reports from Vicksburg National Military Park - Vicksburg, Mississippi

5pm - We all meet at the Texas Monument on Monday evening to examine what Janis has confirmed to be a very active area. This monument marks an area where Union troops stormed up a steep embankment, only to be shot by Confederate soldiers waiting at the top. Janis placed a small cassette recorder on the monument and the tape contains what seems to be voices and light bumps to the microphone. This was before we arrived on scene and when Janis was not near to the monument.

6pm - Rob notices "smoke" coming from the cannon of the bronze structure in his camera's viewfinder as he's rolling footage. He thinks he's imaging things or that someone has placed a cigarette in the cannon. There isn't one. I see the same stream of heat, which seems to come from an object that is cool to the touch. This cannon has been a focal point for activity in some of Janis' previous pictures.

6:30pm - Orbs began to appear in single numbers as dusk and night fell. A bicycle strobe light was placed on the monument and orbs began to be drawn to the monument. Rob used his camera's speed light to flash on and off the statue and left it on a few times.

Conclusions: By 7pm, we had numerous orb shots, some with many...others with singles. Although the area was mysterious while dark, I never was frightened - just cautious. Battlefields are known for activity and we all walked away with proof.

These images were taken Monday evening, October 16, between 6 and 7:30 p.m. at the Texas Monument in the park.

The first image is of the night's first orb. The light source was not in the trees and nothing present was reflective.

The next image was taken in total darkness and shows a large orb. The picture was taken due to a cold chill in the air.

The final three are were taken in order by Janis Raley as orbs began to populate the area. A bicycle strobe light was placed in the cannon and extra flashes of light were used. More orbs seems to appear in between our light flashes.

Drones and Orbs: Our Government or Other Dimensions? | Unexplained Cases (2025)

Written by:  Darren Dedo Case Filed: 1/28/25 Executive Producer:  Rick Garner   On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at White House press briefing, President Trump released a statement through Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt that the drones seen in New Jersey were authorized to fly by the FAA for research and various other reasons. But she did not elaborate about what that research is. The President also said many of these drones were also flown by hobbyists, recreational and private individuals that enjoy flying drones. On social media, the majority of people are saying they don't believe it. Another night in Edmonds and another round of drones circling the town north of Seattle. This time I pulled out my phone and videoed multiple drones making a big loop around my home. With blinking lights of all colors, the drones moved slowly across the sky, but much lower Sunday evening. It continued over Puget Sound. A single orb slowly falling in the sky with drones flying around i...

The Haunted History of Kings Landing | Unexplained Cases (2024)

Written by:  Rick Garner Case Filed: 9/1/24 Executive Producer:  Rick Garner   In Calvert County, Maryland, along the shore of the Patuxent River, the 260-acre Kings Landing Park is a wonderful location to experience history and nature. Once an active farm and later a YMCA camp, kayakers, canoeists, fishman, nature lovers, and families enjoy Kings Landing Park for its access to the river, creeks, marshes, and hiking trails. Picnic areas are available for small and large groups, large pavilions require reservations, and an event hall is also available for rent. Captain John Smith - the English explorer who played an important role in the establishment of the colony at Jamestown, Virginia - explored the region between 1607 and 1609. Also, British warships chased the American fleet up the river during the War of 1812. History at Kings Landing Park is being experienced in other ways. Driving onto this peaceful and beautiful property, it's difficult to imagine it being a p...

Mystery of the Mothman | Unexplained Cases (2024)

Written by:  Rick Garner Case Filed: 2/19/24 Executive Producer:  Rick Garner   One of the cases we’ve always wanted to open is that of the Mothman. When it comes to urban legends, this guy takes the proverbial cake. He checks off all the boxes: cryptid, paranormal, interdimensional. And if not for this winged red-eyed creature, Point Pleasant, West Virginia might only be known for a tragic bridge collapse that occurred on December 15, 1967. The Silver Bridge collapsed during heavy rush-hour traffic, claiming 46 lives. Sightings of Mothman in 1966 and 67 linked the creature to the cause of the collapse, but an official investigation determined stress corrosion cracking in an eyebar led to the disaster. I had the chance to meet and speak with Steve Ward at the world famous Mothman Museum. On the subject of Mothman, Steve is an expert. Well, this is the world's only Mothman Museum. And it came about because of the sightings that took place back in the middle 60s. There...
